My Parents, Dick and
Beverly Baird, founded Apple Acres Shelties in 1959. They retired
from raising shelties ten years later. When I decided to raise
shelties I wanted to carry on the Apple Acres kennel name as a
tribute to them and they were delighted!
Located in Central
Washington, Cashmere is about a 20 minute drive from Wenatchee.
Our small town is famous for not only it's wonderful apples but is
home to the Applets and Cotlets candy factory. Our family
resides on 5 acres surrounded by orchards of peaches, pears and just
about every type of apple there is.
Apple
Acres is a family tradition. As of the year 2010 we have owned/bred
105 champions. Our
dogs are known for their sound bodies, minds and movement. I would
like to invite you in to see the past, present and future of our
growing family.
Sincerely,
